CUH W. Tennis: Swords Defeat W. New Mexico 8-1

Chaminade has won three of last four

Phoenix, AZ- The Swords made it two in a row today, taking care of the Mustangs 8-1 in the fourth of five matches in the Grand Canyon Tournament.

Five of six singles matches went Chaminade's way, with the top five singles matches going to CUH. Senior Audra Takara won #1 singles 6-0, 6-2, while junior Tiffany DeVincent won by the same margin in #2 singles. Takara and DeVincent were equally dominating in #1 doubles, winning 8-2.

The #1 doubles and #2 doubles won for the second straight match. In total, five Swords won two matches on the day.

With the win, CUH moves to 3-2. Western New Mexico moves to 0-4. The Swords are back in action tomorrow to face CSU Pueblo at 9:30 PM MT in Phoenix, AZ.
