CUH W. Tennis: Swords Defeat UH-HIlo 5-4

Chaminade gets second in a row against Vulcans

 WAIPAHU, HI- The Swords took on the Vulcans of UH-Hilo this past Friday at Central Oahu Regional Park and got their second win in a row, defeating UHH by a score of 5-4.
 
The Swords scored a win at #1 singles with freshman Yanita Arnaudova (Hazkova, Bulgaria/Azen Zlatarov Foreign Language School) earning the point for CUH. Sophomore Yuka Kondo (Irvine, Ca/San Joaquin HS) won at #2 singles and freshman Jan Matsumoto (Honolulu, Oahu/ Maryknoll HS) came up big, winning at #4 singles (5-7, 6-4, 6-1) for the Swords.
 
Chaminade won doubles play, winning two of three doubles matches against the Vulcans to earn the hard-fought conference victory.
 
CUH is back in action on March 28th against College of Idaho in Laie, HI.
