PHOENIX, AZ – The Swords followed up Thursday's 6-3 win over Western New Mexico with two more wins today at the Grand Canyon Tournament at the Paseo Racquet Club. Chaminade defeated Metro State this afternoon in a closely contested match, winning by the slimmest of margins, 5-4.
CUH followed up that win with a 9-0 shutout win in the nightcap against the Yellowjackets of Montana State Billings.
Coach Mosley commented: “Unreal effort by everyone yesterday. This roadtrip is tough as we play six matches in four days, but everyone pulled together and fought hard to contribute their part. Our work is not done though as we have our three tough matches coming up.”
Chaminade is back in action on Saturday, facing Dominican at 12:30 PM MT and Academy of Art at 6:30 PM MT at the Paseo Racquet Club in Phoenix, AZ.
With the win, Chaminade moves to 3-0 on the year.
