Final Round ResultsKAHUKU, O'ahu, Hawai'i – The Chaminade University men's golf team concluded their first tournament of the non-championship fall season Wednesday with a second-place finish at the BYU-Hawai'i Tri-Match at the par-72 Turtle Bay Palmer Course.
The Silverswords shot a second-round 310 for a 606 total, 29 shots behind match-winner and host, BYU-Hawai'i. Hawai'i Pacific University rounded out the trio with a two-day total of 627.
JT Trevathan was among a trio of Silverswords to fire a 5-over 77 in Wednesday's second round. The junior from Makakilo finished the two-day match with a team-best 5-over 149, tied for fifth individually, eight shots behind the Seasiders' Inoka Kahawaii, who took medalist honors with a 3-under 141.
Freshmen
R.J. Garczynski and
Lucas Park also shot 5-over in Day 2. Garczynski ended the tournament at 8-over, tied with
Jarin Harada for second among 'Sword golfers. Park duplicated his Tuesday 5-over 77 in the second day to finish at 10-over.
Justin Taparra rounded out the Chaminade contingent at 13-over for the match.
The 'Swords are back on the course when they host the two-day Chaminade Tri-Match at the Olomana Golf Links on Tuesday and the Pearl Country Club on Wednesday.
