Final ResultsPEARL CITY, O'ahu – The Chaminade University men's golf team concluded their hosted tri-match on with a second-place finish at the Pearl Country Club.
The Silverswords, who were in third place after Tuesday's first round at Olomana Golf Club, fired a 295 in Wednesday's final round of the Chaminade Tri-Match for a two-day total of 590, three shots behind team winner, BYU-Hawai'i, which finished at 587. Hawai'i Pacific University rounded out the threesome with a 595.
Junior
Jarin Harada, who was tied with the Seasiders' Federico Clausen atop the individual leaderboard, fired a 2-under-par 70 in the second round and finished with Clausen for top medalist honors at 3-under 141.
Sophomore
Justin Taparra shot a second round 1-under 71 to finish in third with a 1-under 143 for the 'Swords. Senior
JT Trevathan concluded the tri-match with a 9-over 153 while freshman
R.J. Garczynski shot a 10-over 154 and fellow freshman
Lucas Park came in at 12-over 156.
The Silverswords return to action on Oct. 21 in the HPU Tri-Match at the Olomana Golf Club in a 36-hole opening round. The match concludes on Oct. 22 at Pearl Country Club.
