Round 2 Combo ResultsRound 2 Individual ResultsST. GEORGE, Utah –Chaminade University is in ninth place after two rounds of the 2015 Pacific West Conference Men's Golf Championship at the par-72, 6,888-yard Sunbrook Golf Course.
The Silverswords shot a second-round 27-over-par 315 Tuesday to come in at 55-over 631 for the tournament, two shots behind Notre Dame de Namur for eighth place. Dominican is the overall team leader at even-par 576, just two shots ahead of host Dixie State.
Chaminade junior
Jarin Harada remains in contention for the individual title at 2-over-par 146 after firing a 1-over 73 in Round 2. The Maryknoll School graduate is alone in ninth place, five shots behind second round leader Mark Milton of Dominican. Harada carded three birdies after 11 holes, putting him at 1-under, but bogeys at 13 and 15 cost him a chance to finish the day under par.
Sophomore
Justin Taparra, who was also in contention at 3-over after Monday's first round, was at even-par through the first nine holes on Tuesday, but struggled mightily in the back nine. Three double-bogeys contributed to an 11-over Round 2, putting the Kamehameha-Kapalama alumnus at 12-over for the tournament.
Freshman
R.J. Garczynski shot a second-round 8-over 72 for an overall score of 161 through the first 36 holes.
Fellow freshman
Lucas Park fired a 7-over 79 for an overall score of 166. The Kamehameha-Maui's eight-shot improvement between rounds was the second-best among the field.
Junior
Ryan Look rounds out the Silverswords squad at 35-over-par after a 19-over Round 2.
The PacWest Championships conclude Wednesday.
