Kauanoe Beamer accounted for the Silverswords' lone win of the day, a tiebreaking 9-8 (8-0) win over Trixie Croad and Bianca Novotna.
The Silverswords (0-1) face the Vulcans (1-0) again Saturday. The match has been moved to the BYU-Hawai'i Tennis Courts in Laie with doubles action starting at 9 a.m.
