IRVINE, Calif. – Chaminade University goalkeeper Michael Stafford (Honolulu/Iowa Western CC/Kalani HS) and midfielder Brison Kim (Honolulu/Kalani) have been named the Pacific West Conference Men's Soccer Defender and Freshman of the Week, respectively.

Stafford recorded five saves in Saturday's 1-0 win at Concordia Irvine, the senior's third clean sheet of the season. It was the first time this season the Eagles had been shut out at home.

Kim accounted for the game's only goal, coming in the 67th minute, which was also his first career score. The 6-0 midfielder logged 51 minutes, his most since the team's season opener at Colorado Christian.

The effort by the duo helped vault the Silverswords to third-place in the PacWest with a 4-1 mark. At 6-3, the 'Swords also tied their record for wins, equaling the 2014 and '18 teams.

Josiah Romero of Holy Names was the conference's Player of the Week.
