Dean, Amaral-Artharee Named HPH Athletes of Week

Chaminade University women's basketball guard Michaella Dean (Irvine, Calif./Orange Lutheran) and men's basketball guard Isaac Amaral-Artharee (Portland, Ore./Central Catholic) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Athletes of the Week for games played from Feb. 3 to 9.
 
Dean had five points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal Saturday against nationally-ranked Azusa Pacific. In her last 10 games, she's averaged 6.4 rebounds which is the best on the team during that stretch. She is also leading the Silverswords this season in total assists with 49. It is Dean's second Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Female Athlete of the Week honor this year.
 
Amaral-Artharee had 13 points, two rebounds, two steals and an assist Saturday against nationally-ranked Azusa Pacific and earned his third Pacific West Conference Freshman of the Week award. Despite the 'Swords dropping the contest by just four points, the redshirt freshman kept them in the game late by making three baskets which prevented the Cougars from further increasing their lead. It is Amaral-Artharee's second Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Male Athlete of the Week honor.
