KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chaminade University men's soccer team was honored for its work in the classroom Thursday as a recipient of the United Soccer Coaches 2019-20 College Team Academic Award.
The Silverswords posted a team grade-point average of 3.234 during the last academic year and were one of five Pacific West Conference men's soccer programs which received the accolade.
It is the second consecutive year the 'Swords were recognized for the Team Academic Award.
To earn the College Team Academic Award, the team must be active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all rostered student-athletes for the academic year.
