IRVINE, Calif. – The Chaminade University women's tennis team will face Point Loma in Wednesday's first round of the Pacific West Conference Championships in Surprise, Ariz., the conference announced on Sunday.
The Silverswords, who are making their first appearance in the conference championships since 2012, are the No. 12 seed while the Sea Lions are seeded fifth.

Catrina Liner (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis) will represent the 'Swords in No. 1 singles action while
Kayleen Lau (Wailuku, Maui, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Maui) is at No. 2 and
Salamasina Te`i (Hau'ula, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Kahuku) is third.
They are followed in singles by No. 4
Marisa Luna (Kahului, Maui, Hawai'i/Maui), No. 5
Emily Ramirez Miranda (Honolulu/Kaiser) and No. 6
Skye Haraga (Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Punahou).
In doubles, Liner and Lau, who have won two matches this season, are the No. 1 duo for the Silverswords. Te'i and Luna are the No. 2 team while Ramirez Miranda and Haraga make up the No. 3 doubles squad.
The PacWest Championships will continue with the top four seeds in action against the first-round winners on Thursday. The championships will conclude with the title match on Saturday.
