HONOLULU – Due to health and safety protocols by the Pacific West Conference and member institutions Holy Names University and Fresno Pacific University, the Chaminade University women's basketball games this week against both teams at McCabe Gymnasium have been postponed.
The Silverswords were set to face Holy Names on Tuesday and Fresno Pacific on Thursday. Makeups for both games have not been determined. The 'Swords have already had contests at both HNU and FPU in the Bay Area last month wiped out due to health and safety protocols.
The men's game against the Hawks on Tuesday will continue as scheduled with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff time.
The women's hoops squad has played just three times since the start of December: Concordia and Point Loma at home on Dec. 1 and 4; and at Dominican on Dec. 15. Including this week's postponements, the 'Swords have seen six games scrubbed, representing nearly half of their seven games already played this season.
Chaminade is tentatively scheduled to next be in action on Saturday, Jan. 8 against Biola at McCabe Gym with a 1 p.m. tipoff time.
