HONOLULU – The 2025-26 season was one of transition for the Chaminade University women's basketball team.

Under first year head coach Travis Brewster, the Silverswords showed growth as the season progressed. Although there were big point differentials, the 'Swords were competitive in a majority of their contests, even against the top squads in the Pacific West Conference.

Season-ending injuries to starting guard Dezaray Carter (Honolulu/Sacred Hearts Academy) and key reserve Libby Hein (Kennesaw, Ga./Harrison) – both seniors – impacted the team down the stretch.

Despite the adversity, guard Alyssa Schuetze (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak) was a standout, leading Chaminade with a team-best 13.4 point per game clip, the ninth-best in the PacWest. With 609 career points, the junior is ranked ninth in the program's scoring list. She also was tops in steals (31) and had 13 blocked shots.

Selena Buttery (Brockway, Pa./Brockway) put together a memorable senior season, getting 25 starts after just six in her previous three seasons. The two-sport standout, who also plays on the CUH tennis team, set career highs in every category including scoring (6.2 ppg), rebounding (5.7) and had a team-high 40 3-pointers.

Fellow senior Ashley Holen (Watford City, N.D./Minot State University/Watford City HS) provided key minutes off the bench, averaging nearly 18 minutes a game in all 26 contests.

Holly Dolny (Melbourne, Australia/Loyola University Chicago/Heathdale Christian College) provided an impact in her first season in a Silverswords' uniform as the team's No. 2 scorer and 3-point shooter.

Junior guard Julien Parado (Ewa Beach, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Campbell) took over as the team's primary ball handler and set a career-high with 77 assists after totaling 57 her first two seasons.

After posting a total of 225 career minutes the prior two seasons, Kylie Squier (Branchville, N.J./Pope John XXIII Regional) became a regular, making 15 starts and averaged nearly 24 minutes per game. The junior set career bests in every stats line and was Chaminade's most efficient shooter from the free throw line at 76.7 percent.

Maddy Weaver (Puyallup, Wash./Puyallup) enjoyed her second season as the squad's best shot-blocker with 16, the most by a Silversword in three years, and was the top rebounder at 5.8 boards per game.

Freshman Addison Sirianni (Mooresville, N.C./Lake Norman) played all 26 games in a reserve role while Finley Gonzales (Mukilteo, Wash./Kamiak) was a mid-season addition to the team and played in 12 games.
