ATLANTA – The Chaminade University women's basketball team was recognized on Tuesday by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as one of the top academic programs in the nation.
The Silverswords were listed in the "Special Mention" category of the NCAA Division II Academic Top 25 Honor Roll, posting a 3.653 grade-point average during the 2025-26 academic term, ranking as the 40th highest in D-II. It marks the third straight season the 'Swords were honored by the WBCA for academics.
Point Loma had the Pacific West Conference's top GPA at 3.752 which was tied for 17th in the academic rankings while Chaminade was second.
Mercy University (New York) had Division II's top GPA with a 3.853.
To be recognized, teams must have a combined GPA of 3.00 or better during the academic year and its head coach must be a WBCA member.
