Brandon Yasue (Honolulu/Kaiser) was named Monday the Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week for games between Oct. 17 and 23.
The senior recorded his first clean sheet of the season during the Silverswords' Oct. 18 win over Fresno Pacific. He then continued his shutout streak on Saturday which ended with just 24 seconds remaining Saturday at Azusa Pacific. He also made 14 saves duirng the week. Prior to allowing his first goal since Oct. 7, Yasue had a streak of 259:30 minutes without allowing a goal, the second longest in program history.
Hawai'i Pacific University's Gerrit Arzberger was the PacWest Player of the Week while Biola, Chaminade's opponent on Monday, was the Team of the Week.
