Chaminade University cross country runners
Caitlin Bocobo (Mililani, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Mililani) and
Ben Salinas (Highland, Ind./Western Colorado Univ./Highland HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Female and Male Athletes of the Week for competition between Oct. 31 and No. 6.
Bocobo helped the Silverswords women finish eighth out of 11 teams at the PacWest Cross Country Championships in San Leandro, California, last Saturday, the team's highest finish since 2011. She was the team's No. 3 finisher and completed the 6-kilometer course in 25:35.2, her personal-low in 6k races.
Salinas was the men's team's No. 3 finisher in the 8k race, logging a time of 29:39.3, just nine seconds off from his personal-low time in 8k events.
