HONOLULU – Chaminade University women's basketball head coach Michael Edwards announced Tuesday the 2024 signing class who will be on this fall's roster.
Krislin Arjukese is a guard from Potomac, Maryland, and will be a junior after spending two years at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, although she will have three years of athletic eligibility remaining. She has international experience with the national team of Estonia and played in the FIBA Europe Invitational.
Kali Jones is a freshman from Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum, Utah. The 6-2 forward earned all-state and all-region honors and is the program's all-time record holder in rebounds and double-doubles.
Another 6-2 freshman who signed with the Silverswords is
Maddy Weaver from Puyallup High School in Puyallup, Washington. The school's all-time leader in points (772) and rebounds (743), Weaver was a two-time all-league pick and was listed as the state of Washington's top post player.
The 'Swords return 12 from last year's squad including senior guard
Sameera Elmasri (Shawnee, Kan./Birmingham-Southern Univ./Saint Thomas Aquinas HS), who led them in scoring (11.9) and rebounds (6.4) and sophomore point guard
Morgan Escobedo (Scottsdale, Ariz./Pinnacle) who ranked among the Pacific West Conference leaders in assists (3.2 per game) and steals (2.2).
