Laie, HI- The Lady Swords got off to a fast start this evening, but it wasn’t enough, as Chaminade fell to the Seasiders in three games, 21-25, 19-25, 23-25.
CUH was up 11-4 in the first set, before falling in the first game. BYU-Hawaii took the second game 25-19. Chaminade rallied in the third game, leading 20-19 late in the third game, before the Seasiders came back for the 25-23 win and the three game sweep.
The Swords were led by Samantha Miller with 14 kills, while Trina Kauliakamoa added a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs. Chauntelle Maduli led the defense with 17 digs.
Agnes Tuilevuka led the Seasiders with 17 kills, while LeeAnn Mapu added 48 assists in the win.
Chaminade was out-hit by BYU-H .235 to .148. Team blocks were tied between the two teams, 6 to 6.
With the loss, Chaminade falls to 9-11, BYU-Hawaii moves to 11-5 with the win.
