Laie, HI- Chaminade played the Vulcans of UH Hilo today at the Cannon Activities Center, in Laie, HI. Despite losing by 14 points, the Swords did something tonight they did not due all last season; score a total of 80 points. Also, five players for Chaminade scored 10 or more points. 
Sophomore Megan Kamehire, scored 20 points and dished out 5 assists. Lynette Dale earned her first double-double of her career, grabbing 13 boards to go along with 14 points. Samantha Saito and Kayci Will each had 12 points apiece; while Kellene Costello rounded out the Swords with 13 points of her own.  
Chaminade was out rebounded 44 to 30. However,vthe charity line continues to be solid for the Swords, as they shot 75%. They made 23 of the 31 shots they took.
UH Hilo was the led by Hina Kimitete who had 20 points, she went 4 for 9 from behind the arch on 30 minutes of playing time. Natalie Mata rounded out the Vulcans with 17 points and shot a perfect 100% from the charity line, going 4 for 4. 
With the loss the Silverswords fall to 0-2 overall while UH Hilo improves their record to 2-4 overall. The Silverswords next game is against BYU Hawaii, December 15th @ 5:30PM at McCabe Gym.
