Chaminade lost today to West Texas A&M 88 to 46. The Buffaloes came into the game today nationally ranked, currently 16th in the country. The Silverswords fought hard all game long and never gave up.
Kellene Costello was today's leading scorer with 13 points. Senior point guard, Samantha Saito was a perfect 8 for 8 from the free throw line, she ended up with 10 points on the night. In fact the Lady Swords shot well from the free throw line all game long, as a team they shot 72%. Chaminade struggled against the nationally ranked Lady Buffaloes of West Texas A&M, they could only manage to shoot 37% all game long, West Texas on the other hand shot “lights out” making 60% of their shots from the floor.
With the loss today, CUH falls to 1-7 overall, while West Texas A&M improves their record to 13-1.The Lady Swords do not play at home again until January 23rd, 2010. Their next game is in Pheonix, AZ, where they will play Grand Canyon Univesity on January 7th, 2010. Tip Off is set for 530PM MST.
