WBB: Silverswords fall to BYU- Hawaii University 96 to 58

Three Players in double digits, Jasmine Dulan, Samantha Saito and Demlya Rodriquez

Honolulu, HI- Chaminade continues their quest for that first victory of the season. Tonight they fell to the Seasiders of BYUH at Laie, Hawaii. Three players scored double digits, Jasmine Dulan had 16 points, Samantha Saito 14 points and Demyla Rodriquez scored 12.

 CUH lost the rebounding battle, 48 to 24. The Silverswords shot 33% from the floor while HPU shot almost 54%. The Swords capitalized on the shots from the charity line connecting on 80% of their shots, going 20 for 24.

 Senior shooting guard, Jasmine Dulan, said about tonights game, “We really played hard tonight. Even though we lost, we battled to the end. That is what Chaminade basketball is all about, we never quit until the final buzzer. I am hopeful that tomorrow we will play better as a team and can finally get that W we are striving for”

 With the loss tonight Chaminade falls to 0-24 overall and 0-11 in the Pac West. BYUH improves their record to 13-11 and 6-5 in the Pac West. The Swords host the Seasiders of BYU-Hawaii on Saturday, February 28th, 2009. They are set to tip off at 5:30PM @ McCabe Gym. Free hot dogs and soda's will be provided to all Chaminade students with a valid ID.
