Belmont, CA – Vince Lombardi once said, “If you can't accept losing, you can't win.” The Lady Swords continued their mainland trip tonight against the Argonauts of Notre Dame de Namur University. From the opening tip CUH struggled to get things going. Heading into the locker room at halftime, the score was 43 to 8 in favor of NDNU. Chaminade ended up losing by a score of 72 to 40. CUH's Achilles heel this season continues to be their inability to play 40 minutes of basketball well. BoxScore
NBA Hall of Famer, Michael Jordan once said, “I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Despite losing tonight, CUH can recover and focus on the last two games of the year, hopefully in the process capture a win. Sir Winston Churchill once said, “Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.”
