Box Score HONOLULU, HI – The Lady Swords lost to Lindenwood this evening 77-57 in the final non-conference matchup before a return to PacWest conference action for CUH.
Chaminade was bombing three's early as senior guard Kelly Costello (Wixom, MI/Walled Lake) connected on two long-distance attempts in the opening five minutes, as the Swords took a 13-12 lead with 14:35 left in the first half. A third Costello three made the game 20-19 Lions with 11:37 left in the first half. CUH and Lindenwood went back and forth for the remainder of the half. An eight point lead with 52 second left was the Lions largest of the first half. Lindenwood led by five, 38-33 at half. The Silverswords struggled on the glass with 12 rebounds to LU's 21 in the first twenty minutes.
CUH shot 12-33 from the floor in the first half, good for 36%, while Lindenwood shot 58% from the field. The Swords stayed close connecting on seven threes while the Lions turned the ball over twelve times in the half. Sophomore guard
Jordan Ahakuelo (Pearl City, HI/Pearl City) led Chaminade with 13 points at the break.
Lindenwood got eight points to start the second half and led 46-33 just two minutes in. The Swords did not have an answer for the Lion's Sarah Schneiders, as the 5'11 junior had double-figures in both halves of action, finishing with 26 points on the night. Chaminade continued to compete, as a 5-0 run cut a twenty point LU lead to fifteen (67-52) with six minutes remaining in the second half. It wasn't enough as the Lions won 77-57.
Ahakuelo was impressive on both ends with 13 points to go along with 4 steals. Costello finished with 12 points, connecting on four three's. Junior forward

Chaminade shot 30% from the floor and Lindenwood shot 54%.
Lindenwood was led by with Sarah Schneiders with 26 points. The Lions won the rebounding battle outrebounding CUH 42-29.
Chaminade is back in PacWest action on Jan. 5th against Hawaii Pacific. Tip is set for 5:00 PM HT in McCabe Gym.
The Swords move to 0-7 on the year, while Lindenwood goes to 7-5.
