HONOLULU – The Chaminade University women's basketball team wraps up the 2015-16 season as they host No. 17 Azusa Pacific Thursday and Point Loma Saturday at McCabe Gym. Tipoff times for both games are set for 5 p.m.
The Silverswords (5-17, 5-13 Pacific West Conference) can tie the program record for wins (7) set last year with two season-ending victories this week.
Chaminade has never beaten the Cougars (23-3, 17-1) in four tries with the latest meeting resulting in an 87-38 setback in Azusa, California, last month. The 'Swords are 0-3 lifetime against the Sea Lions (17-9, 10-8) with Saturday's game being the only meeting between the two programs this season.
Forward
Lilia Maio leads the Silverswords, averaging 15 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, followed by
Courtney Kaupu at 9.5 ppg.
Saturday's contest against Point Loma is also Senior Night, where seniors
Kennedi Akana,
Sabrina Angle and
Shana Kawakami, along with junior
Bobbi Montibon, will be honored.

Lilia Maio (912 career points) is only the second Chaminade women's player to reach 900 career points. Samantha Saito (2006-10) is the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,141 points. Maio is already the program's all-time leading rebounder (519) and double-doubles (14).

Shana Kawakami will end her career among the all-time leaders in several categories. She currently ranks third all-time in scoring (631), fifth in rebounds (277), fourth in assists (142), second in steals (127), second in games played (95) and fourth in minutes played (1,936).

Sabrina Angle will depart Chaminade as the program's all-time record-holder in 3-pointers. She holds the record with 114 triples.

Kennedi Akana ends her career as the program's all-time leader in blocked shots (71). She also is sixth all-time in scoring (547), second in rebounds (370), fifth in games played (76), fourth in starts (67) and sixth in minutes (1,850). Akana's 35 blocks in 2013-14 is the single-season record.
