Dec. 10, 2015: Women's Basketball Starts 3-0 in PacWest

For a seven-day span, the Chaminade University women's basketball team held the claim as the leaders of the Pacific West Conference.
The Silverswords began the 2015-16 conference slate with a 62-53 home win over Concordia Irvine on Dec. 3 followed by a 63-60 victory against Holy Names two days later.
On Dec. 10, the 'Swords faced Hawai'i Hilo, looking to maintain their first-place standing in the PacWest. Chaminade trailed the entire first quarter but took their first lead on a
Sabrina Angle 3-pointer 40 seconds into the second. Angle buried two more triples in the quarter,
Carissa Webb added another while the 'Swords held the Vulcans scoreless for an eight-minute span to give them a 28-18 halftime edge.
UH Hilo managed to close to within 47-42 with 1:27 left in the fourth quarter but
Lilia Maio and
Shana Kawakami combined for Chaminade's final six points to secure the 53-44 win which improved them to 3-0 in the conference for the first time in program history.
Maio, who had a game-high 14 points against the Vulcans, averaged 18.3 points and 8.7 rebounds during the winning streak while
Kristle Henry totaled 13 assists, six against UH Hilo.
