Jan. 17, 2015: Women's Basketball Gets First Road Win
Lilia Maio had 18 points while
Shana Kawakami hit the game-winning layup with eight seconds left to give the Chaminade University women's basketball team a 72-71 win over Notre Dame de Namur at the Walter Gleason Gymnasium in Belmont, Calif.

Kristle Henry forced a turnover with 11 seconds left.
Katie Buskey then delivered a pass to Kawakami for the go-ahead score. The Argonauts had a final shot but
Kennedi Akana preserved the game for the 'Swords by blocking Coco Bradley's shot at the buzzer.
Buskey added 15 points and eight rebounds for the 'Swords while
Glacen Florita and Akana each had 14. Florita also had five assists.
The victory was the program's first-ever win on the continental United States breaking a 50-game drought including neutral site games. Since then, the Silverswords have picked up nine more wins on the mainland.
