SAN FRANCISCO, CA- The Swords Volleyball team fell to the Urban Knights of Academy of Art in three sets (16-25, 15-25, 20-25) tonight at Kezar Pavilion.
Sword junior
Poerava Gantt (Kapaa, HI/Kapaa) had 7 kills and 7 digs in defeat.
Senior setter
Tanya Alvino (Brentwood, CA/Liberty) had 22 assists and 10 digs for the Swords.
CUH lost the dig battle 38-49. The Urban Knights out-hit the Swords .257 to .113. Chaminade won the block battle 6-5.
AAU was led by Dan Yang with 13 kills.
With the loss, Chaminade moves to 4-11, 1-7 in the PWC. Academy of Art moves to 10-8, 6-3 in the PWC. The Swords look to rebound against HPU on Thursday, October 21st at 7:00 PM HT at St. Andrew's Priory. Following that, Chaminade concludes the regular season with seven consecutive home matches, starting on October 26th against Dominican.
