KONA, Hawai'i – The Chaminade University women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to 23
rd-ranked Sonoma State at the Holua Invitational at the Holua Tennis Courts Friday.
The Seawolves, also ranked seventh in the West Region, improved to 3-1 while the Silverswords fell to 0-4.
The 'Swords got a competitive match from
Kimberly Takara in No. 3 singles before retiring in the second set to Karlee Budge. Meanwhile
Michelle Bucher was able to take three games off Kaitlyn Haithcock, the 23
rd-ranked player in the West Region in No. 2 singles while
Roni Hewett got four off Julie Rea.
The Silversword wrap up the Holua Invitational Saturday against No. 4 BYU-Hawai'i.
