HONOLULU – The Chaminade University women's tennis team faced off against No. 6 Hawai'i Pacific for the second straight week, but dropped a 9-0 decision Friday at Ala Moana Park.
The Sharks (6-1), ranked No. 6 nationally and No. 2 in the West Region, captured all three doubles matches to start the day then won all six singles.
The Silverswords No. 1 doubles team of
Melanie Schumilas and
Roni Hewett managed to take two games off HPU's team of Nicole Hoyanski and Lea Kruse-Utermann.
The 'Swords (0-7) are next in action on Tuesday, March 10, when they face Dominican at Patsy T. Mink Central O'ahu Regional Park at 10 a.m.
